What is a Face lift Surgery?

Medically known as rhytidectomy, face lift is a surgical procedure performed to improve signs of ageing in the face and neck. The signs may involve midface sagging, creases below lower eyelids, creases along the nose, loss of muscle tone in the lower face, loose skin and excess fatty deposit under the chin. Face lift can be performed together with brow lift and eyelid surgeries. In some cases facelift may include forehead lift and neck lift as well. In this case, the surgery is called extended facelift. Contraindications of Face lift

Patients taking aspirin and vitamin E should discontinue using them two weeks prior to surgery. Patients using traditional non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) should discontinue using them seven days prior to surgery.
